Fifteen percent for sponsored seats
Fifteen percent of every fee mentors someone into business.
From every participant and sponsor fee, after taxes, POC sets aside fifteen percent for the POC Academy Sponsored Seats fund: seats in later batches for people starting a business who could not otherwise afford the training, women and men alike, with mentoring from Precious Ordillas Clavo, CPA and the POC team, including their check-ins.
A sponsored seat is not a free seat. The fund pays the fee; the sponsored participant promises to pay the same amount back into the fund within three years, without interest, at their own pace, so the next person can be sponsored. We teach people to fish, and paying it forward is how one seat becomes a blessing to the next. The promise is signed as a Sponsored Seat Addendum; if a business struggles, the plan is adjusted, never penalised.
The fund is kept in its own ledger account. POC chooses the recipients and reports to the alumni community once a year on how much was set aside, how it was used and how much has been paid forward. It is POC's commitment from its own revenue; it does not change your fee. The same undertaking is written into every participant and sponsorship agreement.
Pay from the heart after graduation
Once you have graduated and your business is earning, you may, if you wish, pay any further amount at any time within five years. It is entirely voluntary: no minimum, any amount from zero, never asked for, and nothing about your check-ins or alumni membership changes whether you pay or not. Half of every contribution goes into the same Sponsored Seats fund; the other half is POC's. So the fund has three sources: fifteen percent of every fee, half of every pay-from-the-heart contribution, and every peso a sponsored participant pays forward.
